Prayer and Promise
✨ Daily Word: Prayer and Promise✨
Psalm 71:3 “Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.”
Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Reflection
Psalm 71 is the cry of a soul that knows where to turn: “Be my rock, my refuge, my fortress.” It’s the prayer of someone who has walked long roads and still leans on God’s strength.
Isaiah 40:31 is the answer to that prayer: “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.” When we feel frazzled, worn, or hungry, He doesn’t just steady us—He lifts us. Like eagles, we rise above the weariness.
Together, these verses remind us:
The Prayer: “Lord, I need You.”
The Promise: “I will renew you.”
Closing Thought
Even in our tiredness, God is both the refuge we run to and the strength that carries us forward.
